According to wrestling-edge.com

- As noted before, it was believed that Ted DiBiase suffered some sort of injury at Over the Limit last night. Apparently Ted suffered a concussion, possibly from the hard slap from R-Truth early in the match.
Ted is SuperStar of the Day.

Ted DiBiase vs R-Truth

Out first for the next match comes R-Truth, rapping with the fans. Out next comes Ted DiBiase, with the Million Dollar belt and Virgil at his side. Virgil is wearing a suit tonight. Truth mocks them before the bell and here we go.

The bell rings, and both men lock up. Truth tries for the go behind, but DiBiase catches his arm. Truth turns it around, but finds himself backed up into the corner. Truth goes to punch DiBiase, but Ted goes between the ropes and the ref breaks it up. DiBiase catches Truth with a side head lock, and goes back to work on the arm, but Truth turns it right around. DiBiase slaps Truth across the face, and Truth responds with one of his own. Truth pounds on DiBiase against the ropes, and the ref has to break it up again. Truth ducks a clothesline, and hits a kick to DiBiase’s head. Truth sends DiBiase to the floor with a clothesline over the top. On the outside, Truth confronts DiBiase, then turns around and slaps DiBiase before sending him back into the ring.

Virgil is able to distract Truth, allowing DiBiase to hit a neckbreaker on Truth. DiBiase tosses Truth to the outside, he follows and immediate drives him back first into the barricade before sending him right back in. Truth tries to fight back, but DiBiase takes him up and stomach first down to the mat. DiBiase kicks away at Truth in the corner, but Truth comes right back. Truth goes into the ropes, but DiBiase follows to confuse him, and then hits a clothesline, sending him down to the mat. DiBiase locks in a rear chin lock.

Truth fights up to his feet, but DiBiase responds with a belly to back suplex to take Truth right back down. DiBiase goes to the second rope and he tries for a double ax handle smash, but Truth catches him with a punch to the stomach. Truth places DiBiase on the top rope, and asks the crowd what’s up. DiBiase fights out of the superplex attempt, but Truth comes right back, hitting the ropes and making Ted crotch himself. Truth comes in with a couple of clotheslines and a big hip toss, following up with a flatliner that’s good for a two count. Truth tries for the axe kick, but DiBiase avoids it, and hits a huge electric chair drop that’s good for a two count.

Truth is able to take DiBiase down to the mat, but DiBiase goes right for the ropes and the ref is forced to break it. Truth hits a weird modified stunner that’s good for another near fall. Truth hits a big corckscrew elbow, and pins DiBiase, getting the three count.

Winner: R-Truth

Fighting Fanboys: Avengers Assemble

CODY RHODES
The son of WWE Hall of Famer "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes and a
Cody Rhodes (in Archangel gear)
one-time member of the formidable Legacy group, Cody Rhodes has recently struck out on his own as a new member of the SmackDown roster. The youngest Rhodes went with an eclectic line-up for his Avengers, including one of WWE's top Divas and a Marvel stalwart he has taken fashion tips from.

"Archangel is on the list. I actually just debuted this week on [WWE Superstars] a jacket I had made for me that just ripped off Angel from ULTIMATE X-MEN. It's got little bits of shiny black on the shoulder and was literally taken right out of the book; the only thing missing is the 'X' on the chest."

"If you're gonna do it right and assemble an Avengers team [where] I'm the leader, [I also need] a Superstar I hate because you need the Iron Man/Captain America [dynamic]. You need the two sides of the coin. [I'd pick] C.M. Punk because we butt heads and he's one of those guys that he would be the yin to my yang."

"Deadpool. I want an all-negatively-loaded team. Deadpool and Spider-Man-they both are smart-asses, but Deadpool is willing to go farther with
Deadpool
his. Spider-Man jokes are popcorn jokes. Deadpool, he'll say the obvious."

"You have to select a Diva because there has to be that estrogen in the group of some sort. I would select Kelly Kelly. She's doing things [as the public face] that keeps all the dirty work of my Avengers team hidden beneath the surface."

"I want a Wolverine that's not Wolverine. I want somebody who's willing to kill, so I'm going to select a reformed Omega Red. [He has] always been one of my favorite characters because I dig the Soviet Union. He's just a weapon like Wolverine or Captain America. He's designed by the government-he's a weapon, so that's what we'd use him as."

"I kind of like Kane [for the team] because he seems like you could keep [him on a] bit of a leash. He wouldn't just go totally wild. And he controls fire, so why not?"

"I think Union Jack gets a bad rap. He's a patriot, not for the United States, but the Avengers [are] a worldwide peace-keeping force. Its sends the wrong signals when it's front-loaded with Americans, you know? You've gotta spread it out. We're talking just publicity purposes here."

FanHouse Interview.
Posted by Micky on 22 May 2010. Filed in -- Add Comments? (0)
It was just two years ago when Ted DiBiase made his television debut with the WWE. Most of that time since then saw him as part of the group called Legacy which also included Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes.

Earlier this year, the group broke up. Now, DiBiase is his own man and looking for success as a singles wrestler. He's begun doing that by taking the persona of a spoiled millionaire who gets whatever he wants by throwing money around. Sound familiar? It should since his father – and now WWE Hall of Famer -- Ted DiBiase made it famous years ago with the company as the legendary 'Million Dollar Man'.

Young Ted even has his dad's 'Million Dollar Championship Belt' and his old bodyguard/servant Virgil by his side now. This Sunday at the WWE Over The Limit pay-per-view (8PM ET / 5PM PT), DiBiase will look to take another step forward as he squares off against R-Truth.

FanHouse spoke with him about the new persona, the breakup of Legacy, having his first match at WrestleMania earlier this year, his dad being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame and more.

conducted a phone interview Thursday with Ted DiBiase Jr., who will face R-Truth Sunday as part of WWE’s Over the Limit pay-per-view.

I interviewed your father a couple years ago and he mentioned that he had discouraged you and your brother from following in his footsteps and becoming pro wrestlers. At what point did you know for sure that wrestling was what you wanted to do, and when did your father give his blessing?

The Fortunate Son promises to embarrass R-Truth at Over The Limit
Ted DiBiase Jr is ready to go Over The Limit this Sunday on Sky Box Office to defeat R-Truth.

The Fortunate Son tried to hire R-Truth as his new personal assistant in April. However, his offer was thrown back in his face with an insulting slap to the face.

As a result the two will go head to head in the squared circle at Over The Limit on Sunday night – and DiBiase will have a legendary figure alongside him.

“I’m ready to get some revenge,” DiBiase told skysports.com. “I don’t take being slapped in the face very kindly and am definitely looking forward to the weekend.

“I presented R-Truth with an opportunity to do some things for me in return for a lot of money; things such as carrying my bags, watching my back and maybe going to get me a coffee.
